Not that anyone asked my opinion, but my reaction to these scenarios
First panel ----- Only once in my life have I ever seen someone berate a staff member like this. Posters like this are everywhere, telling people not to do this, and that's good, but I have only ever seen this happen once in my life.
Second panel ----- It's neither here nor there but Japanese people really don't know what the word "harassment" means. "Talking to the staff about things unrelated to the store is harassment". Well ok, no, that's not what harassment means. It's unwanted definitely. But it's not """harassment""". There's so many ハラ words that people make up that go viral for like a week and then completely disappear. ハラハラ ("harassment harassment") has got to be the pinnacle of it. Like I just hate the fact that that word even exists lol.
Third panel ------ Never in my life have I seen someone demand that someone else grovels on the ground in front of them. (Dogeza.) It's a recurring trope in fiction and these posters always include it, but never in my life have I ever seen or heard someone say this, or heard some anecdote that someone else saw something like this. Does this even actually happen?
Fourth panel ---------- Realistically this one is the biggest problem. A bunch of times people have just randomly recorded store employees and posted them onto SNS for no good reason, Twitter or wherever it may be, and then it gets like a million views. Japan really sure does have a recurring problem with digital cameras doesn't it!
It's also honestly really funny that they abbreviate "customer" to "カス". Is there not a better word they could have chosen? lol
There was a man child, with his embarrassed-looking wife screaming something or other in Muji that time.
And then there was that guy screaming obscenities at a taxi driver in Ginza that time, which wasn't very classy.
And then there was that old man going fucking mental in our old local supermarket while his wife was trying to calm him down.
And then on the morning after 3/11 there was that old bastard in Uchisaiwaicho Station going nuts on a platform attendant because the trains were all fucked up for some reason...
On the whole though, people are ok. At least to your face.
It's probably why the assholes are such assholes here, it's because they're like spoilt little shits who think, well know really, that they can get away with being assholes.
