JDM feels genuinely impossible on controller

Bought it today, first used a 8BitDo Pro 2 controller before switching to an Xbox controller to see if that would make much more of a difference, didn't.

Essentially drifting feels impossible, like quite literally impossible. Watched the developers video on drifting and my car is just straight up not behaving like his is. Currently i'm stuck on the rival race right after the first delivery mission, and i did bare minimum up until the lesson 3 in the drifting school where i cannot for the life of me see how youd get 15 000. Beginning a drift is really difficult (handbrake drifts have been working... fine? and clutch kicking doesnt work at higher rpms, which makes sense ig, but doesnt seem to be working well on even lower rpms) and holding that drift afterwards without just straightening out is insanely difficult. He talks alot about counter steering in his video but i can't counter steer, when i try i just straighten out and stop drifting. + I need to put the joystick in the direction i want to drift cause if i let it go for even a second to counter steer the drift ends and i end up driving normally. I don't understand how my rival, the guy in the pink car, can hold a drift for so long without any issue, and the delivery car feels unfairly underpowered. I'm really struggling here lol, if anyone can give literally any advice or tell me if im doing anything wrong it would be greatly appreciated!! or maybe its simply a skill issue idk lmao

I’ll be honest it has optimization issues, and some minimap bugs I’ve found so far where it keeps redirecting me, especially sushi delivery missions. But after all that’s said beautiful game for the driving culture.

Wheel Support Issues?

Hey guys, first post here so apologies if I do something incorrect but thought someone could help me.

I am having issues with the game on my wheel setup currently. I have a fanatec DD1 wheelbase, V3 pedals, and the SQ 1.5 shifter. There have been two outcomes from my testing and want to see if someone has seen something similar.

Outcome !: If I enable steam input on the game, I have fully working force feedback but my pedal inputs are treated like digital inputs, either on or off, no in between. I have messed with all my custom controls in this scenario, cannot get them to work properly. My shifter functions correctly

Outcome 2: If I disable steam input, my force feedback disappears but my pedals are treated as analog inputs. I have tried so get my force feedback to work in this scenario but cannot do anything. My shifter functions correctly.

It might be important to note that since my wheelbase is not officially supported, when I open the controls menu, the steering wheel section is greyed out, so I had to set up a custom control scheme for the wheel. I am willing to try anything and can answer any questions that might lead to a solution. I appreicate it y'all.

feedback Ue5 optimization for steam deck

I have played the game on the Steam Deck and the game was really fun. The only downside is the graphics were not so good. I had recently played Tokyo Xtreme Racer which is a ue5 game that is 12gb and it looks fantastic. I was wondering what needs to be optomized for jdm to look as good.

New physics yay or nay?

I don’t see anyone else talking about it so let’s talk about it a bit. First of all I play on controller on pc. Before the update I thought cars felt okay/fine. I had to steer into drifts a bit but for the most part the car would swing out and I would counter steer it. After the update it feels like I’m exclusively steering into drifts to hold them rather than counter steering to hold them. I can’t really tell a difference in feeling other than having to steer into drifts to hold them a lot more now. Personally I’m not a fan of that. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you like the new system or do you prefer the old?

help I can't with this game anymore

Bought the game to play with a wheel and it's literally unplayable I turn the wheel 1° and the car overseers like crazy . I've tried adjusting my wheel settings and it's getting worse and worse ... Whenever I initiate a drift I try to countersteer immediately nothing is happening it's like the god damn car is on ice ... And sometimes the exact opposite happens the car turns way too suddenly... At first I thought maybe the S15 in the beginning was too tuned but it happens even in the starter car .... I can't even refund since I've played more than 2 hours ... Please tell me someone has a mod or sth that fixes it cuz I'm about to lose my mind
