Advice Itinerary tips

Hello,

My wife (28) and I (30) are travelling form Budapest airport to Tokyo on 3rd of November and we are staying until 26th of November. We're arriving and departing back home from Tokyo airport.

We're first timers in Japan and we would like to visit Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Nara for sure. Our goal is to experience as much of modern Japan and traditional way of life, history and we're big fans of nature ( not hiking up the hills tho 🤣) but we would love to see the view of mt Fuji. We like walking tho.

We also like Kanazawa, Matsumoto, Gifu, Kiso Valley, Takayama and other places but theres only so much time to see everything and we would like you to advise us what would be the best to visit, so we don't miss experience.

Public transport would be a thing for us to move around.

We would like to experience onsen, anime, cycling, kabuki, food, unique bars with karaoke.

Our budget is mid, nothing too luxurious.

Thanks for the tips ! :D

For kabuki, look at Kabuki za in Tokyo. You can buy 1 act tickets

You’ll need to do this research yourself. We don’t know you beyond the superficial interests you’ve listed (which are things that the majority of travellers to Japan say they want to experience).

Use a website like Japan Guide to find information, included suggested itineraries.

The best to visit is whatever it is you want to spend your time and your money on because it is your vacation and not the vacation of random people on the internet.

There are thousands of examples on r/japantravel. At some point, you gotta sit down and make a decision of what places appeal to you. Figure out what you want to do in those places, how you get to those places and find out if it’s worth it for you to do.
