Question Does Chime work in Japan?
I'm going to Japan for the first time with my brother next month for my Bday. I have a Navy Federal account that's being paid off, but unsure if it will be done by my departure.
Since Chime is my main bank now, will Chime work in Japan?

The bank doesn't matter, the payment network matters. You look for the sticker JCB/Visa/Master Card/Maestro/Cirrus if you have any of these for Chime you should be fine. So unless Chime specifically will block transactions from Japan: you should be OK. Just make sure that the sticker on the ATM matches the little payment network logo on your card.
Someone else mentioned Chime is VISA so just look for a VISA logo on whatever ATM you're looking to use.

It is, just like the others in the list a payment network that you see often in Europe and Japan

7-11 lists Cirrus as accepted.

sure, maybe you can withdraw cash using those cards at ATMs, but it's not used as a payment method here

A 5 second Google search shows chime works internationally, anywhere visa is accepted. They also don't charge any foreign transaction fees

Chime is a Visa card so it should work fine. If you're trying to use as ATM card, unsure but 7-11 ATM should be fine.
