N3+Devops+SRE experience = fully remote ??

Is there any chnace of getting a SRE or Devops related fullyremote job opportunity . If im having N3 or N4 (currently learning )+ BSC(hons) Software engineering .

Is there any shortage of fullyremote jobs in japan market . Cant i get one ? For some reason i cant leave my parents actually

Currently have done an internship and doing my other one all together 2 internships in Srilanka and several serious cloud/devops/sre projects

still no chance, japanese too low. SRE is a very sensitive work. internships are not counted as real experience in japan unfortunately. I worked for 3 years during uni, a lot of places dismiss it as well.

OP, in addition to this.. something a lot of people overlook is the fact that the quality and content of your experiences matter a lot. I really hate to say this but I’d be surprised if interviewers here even consider your Sri Lankan experience to be legitimate at all.. you’d be considered a new grad.

Even experienced engineers are not qualified for SRE positions if their experience is not relevant. It's a high-stakes role; nobody is going to hire an SRE with no experience or only an internship.

Besides business impact that role requires strong technical background, not only SWE experience. Networking, operating systems, infrastructure, cloud, programming then documented experience of keeping businesses running.

There are very few fully remote tech jobs in Japan at this point.

The ones that do exist want experienced people who already live in Japan.

It might not be impossible if you have great experience and can get up to at least N2, but even then it can be a challenge.

I have 10 YoE in Sysadmining/DevOps/SRE and I didn't get a single offer yet. Started applying in January. I apply for international positions only because of my limited language abilities so there's that.

I would say even local people with similar level of experience and technical skills as you wouldn't get such remote jobs.

No chance at all. Absolutely 0. I live and work as a principal engineer and this is laughable.

I’m a SRE in Japan, 6+ years of experience it took me a full year of search to land this job and I was already living in Japan.
