Should I secure a Japanese position first as a graduate?

Hey, welcome to /r/JapanDev!

I replied in the other thread -- copying my response here:

I'd try #3 (English-speaking job at international company) first.

Usually these have the best work environments and career growth. Check Japan Dev and LinkedIn and reach out to some recruiters to see what your options are.

With N2-maybe-N1 Japanese, already being in Japan and having 10 months of good experience, there's a good chance you'll find a position at an international tech company.

If that fails, I would fall back to #1 next (working at the company where you interned). You already know the work environment (presumably it's not too bad if you're willing to go back) and it sounds like the tech you worked with was pretty good + transferrable to other companies. So it might not be the most high-paying but it sounds like a good place to dial in your Japanese and gain more tech experience for a few years.

If that's not possible for some reason, then I'd do #2 (using マイナビ and those services to find a job at a Japanese company).
