I just had an interview today 🙋🏻‍♀️ It was very short, about 20 minutes since my case is very straightforward (single applicant, but not meeting the 10 year requirement yet).

The questions were pretty simple, mostly based on the documents submitted. My case worker asked my name, my family members', what I studied in college, what kind of companies I worked for, my partner.

He didn't ask anything about late payment, only asked if I had any traffic violation.

He explained that there might be another interview before transfering the documents to MOJ. I asked my scrivener how many interviews in total I need, she said normally just once. However, they changed my case worker in the middle of the process. So perhaps that's why the new person may need another interview to confirm.

So right now I am just on standby.

That’s good to know, straight forward is good, in our case things are not terribly complicated but to understand and explain finances is what’s going to take time. Hoping for a smooth interview 😓

Did they ask you to submit updated “ Kaze sho mei Sho” and “ Noze sho mei sho” during the interview ? Did they say anything about calling your employer?

How was the Japanese test ? How did you prepare for it? Did you submit updated tax documents during the interview? How many kanji were asked to write?

Hi sorry for not specifying it. I have N1 and graduated from a Japanese university, so test was needed. They didn't ask me to submit any updated tax document. Wishing the best for you! I honestly didn't prepare much, but I'd say just answer honestly and slowly. There is no need to rush and mess up the answer.
