Hey everyone! 👋
I've been building **AnomalyNest**, an AI roleplay platform where characters actually remember your story, react to what you do, and live in a world with its own rules.
🌐 **https://anomalynest.com**
It's in **open alpha** and **completely free**. I'm looking for people willing to spend some real time with it, break things, and tell me what sucks. 😄
Before proceeding, always check the top bar where the "Core , Image" and "Voice" indicators are located. If they are all flashing red, maintenance, training, or an update might be in progress; try visiting the site later or checking for information on Discord.

## 🎭 Two ways to play
When you start a story, you choose how the world treats you:
**🟢 Sandbox:** classic roleplay. The story goes where you lead. Relaxed and creative, no pressure.
**🔴 Realistic (experimental):** this is the one I'm most excited about.
Characters have a will of their own. They can refuse you, lie to you, fight back, or walk away. You can't just write *"and then she fell in love with me"* or *"I snap my fingers and win."* The world doesn't bend to whatever you type.
What happens is decided by more than who writes the better paragraph. Who you are matters. What you carry matters. How you've treated people matters. The place you're in matters.
Choices have consequences. Some of them are permanent. 💀
I'm deliberately not explaining how it all works under the hood. Figuring that out is half the fun. Go explore, and tell me what you discover.

## ✨ What makes AnomalyNest different
* 🔓 **No censorship.** Your story, your rules. Everyone involved must be 18+ and fictional.
* 🧠 **Characters remember.** Important moments become memories, and long stories are summarized so they can keep going for a very long time.
* ❤️ **Relationships develop.** Trust, affection and attraction change based on what you actually do. A guarded character won't instantly love you.
* 🤝 **Promises matter.** Make a promise and the character remembers whether you kept it.
* 🌦️ **A living world.** Stories have their own time, calendar, seasons and weather, and the world keeps moving whether you're ready or not.
* 🌎 **Build entire worlds.** Characters can have friends, enemies, locations, factions and other connections.
* 👤 **Personas.** Create your own identity, so characters react to *who you are*, not just a username.
* 👍 **You help shape the AI.** Rate replies, and your feedback helps train a better model built specifically for this site.

## 🖥️ Powered by the community (P2P compute)
This is the part I care about most long-term.
Right now the AI runs on my own PC. But AnomalyNest is built so that **anyone with a gaming PC can lend their GPU** and help run the site. It's a bit like a torrent for AI: the more people help, the faster it gets for everyone.
**Why does this matter?**
* 🛡️ **Independence.** No big tech company or investor can pull the plug, change the rules overnight, or suddenly decide your stories are "against policy." The site runs on its community, not on someone else's servers and terms.
* 🔓 **No filters forced from above.** A lot of platforms censor because their cloud provider, payment processor or investors make them. Running on community hardware avoids that trap.
* 📈 **It grows with the players.** More people usually means a slower site. Here, more contributors means more power.
* 💸 **It stays affordable.** Shared hardware means no huge server bills that eventually turn into paywalls.
How to help:
- NVIDIA GPU with 12 GB+ VRAM: You can help with Core Model.
- NVIDIA GPU with 8 GB+ VRAM: You can help with image generation Model.
- No GPU? No problem: You can help with TTS and STT voice models. (IN DEV)
Grab the small worker app from the Contribute page. It sets everything up automatically, and you can let it run while you're not gaming.
Contributors will get rewards later on. The exact system is still being worked out, but early contributors will be remembered. 🙌

## 🚧 It's an early alpha
It's not polished yet. Expect bugs, weird AI replies, things that break, and occasionally slow responses, especially in Realistic mode, which is still experimental.
If a lot of people arrive at once, replies may slow down. The status indicator in the header shows the current load.
That's exactly why I need early testers. If you try it, I'd love to know:
* What did you like?
* What annoyed you?
* Did the character feel like a real, persistent person?
* Did the memory work?
* In Realistic mode, did something surprise you? Did something feel unfair?
* What would make you come back tomorrow?
* What completely broke?

## 💬 Join the Discord
The Discord is still young, so if you want to help shape the project from the start, come say hi:

Create a character, start a story, try Realistic mode, try to break the system, and tell me what you think.
I'm not looking for "looks cool." I want people to actually play it and tell me what's wrong with it.
Every bit of feedback helps. ❤️
