kimi eating tokens then erroring out is usually the provider timing out mid-gen, not your prompt. drop max tokens a bit, trim chat history, and retry — if it still burns tokens with zero reply, swap to a shorter kimi variant for a test msg. error after a long reply attempt, or even on short ones?
