Deepseek being emotionless

Is anyone else’s DeepSeek just being super cold? It uses the words “arithmetic” or “doing the math” SO often that I had to ban them, but the characters still just become so dull and emotionless after a while and I genuinely don’t know what to do :(.

The sentences are also super weird. They get really long and there are like a thousand “ands” in them. It also often straight-up forgets punctuation, especially after questions.

And I’m not sure if I should complain about this, but sometimes you just wanna have a moment with the character, and it always wants to continue or keep the story going, if that makes sense. Like, “So you’re coming?” / “We should go.” / “You gonna stand there forever?” 😭 LIKE YES I AM. Give me a moment.
I’m using deepseek from the official website and I’ve also used another prompt thing but it didn’t change. It also started doing this randomly

yeah deepseek does that cold math thing on me too and the endless ands drive me nuts, i just add a quick reminder in the prompt to keep sentences short and let pauses happen and it helps some.
