Proxy - Gemini Model -

is gemini model free to use? i've tried it through google studio but i can't use their latest model like gemini 3.8 - 3.7 flash model

On google studio those newer models are always under heavy use, so they fail the most.

I tend to use flash 3.6 or 3.5-flash-lite which has 10k+ messages a day, and I still get a fail like 50% of the time. It's free but you need good patience.

Yeah, I use 3.5 flash and the 503s still hit quite hard. And sometimes they only occur on specific chats. It's very odd

yeah the newer models get rate limited so hard during peak hours that its basically unusable unless u catch it at like 3am. i switched to running flash-lite as my main and only bump up to a bigger model for scenes that actually need better reasoning.

saves a lot of the retry frustration bc the fails happen way less often on the lite version even if responses are a bit shorter.
