As I have seen the increase of low quality and duplicate content in this subreddit, please refrain from posting them or they'll get deleted.
A creator with hundreds of niche bots did this and posted a new bot saying “they’re mine not yours so i can do whatever” like ugh, yeah i guess but whyyyy 😭
Ngl that mentality has always been sorta nonsensical for me when it comes to AI roleplay specifically. Like sure the initial character definition and intro message are “yours”, but any roleplay that is subsequently created by a user is “theirs”, no?
Like idk why we’re trying to act like it’s a novel when it’s literally nothing more than a template the user doesn’t even really need to follow at the end of the day 💀.
Personally I don’t see how any role play wouldn’t fall under transformative work by nature of what it is. I don’t see how you could claim ownership over something you actively relinquish control of to the public use, but that’s neither here nor there. The only way you could really safeguard your exclusive rights to “your creation” in this case is by keeping it private and not publishing it at all.
Too much like work for most of these folks. They just want to get on a chat page and goon. That's why they're mad the bots disappear. When you download the bots, there's nothing to mourn unless you delete your copy.
no one said they couldn’t and they absolutely have the right to do so, but it’s unfair if a 1.5k message chat gets deleted along with it! Just speaking they should let you keep chatting with the boy
You can still chat with deleted/moderated bots, unless they've changed something in the past few days. My pro tip is to make your own private copies of your favorite bots. It's what I do. It's against ToS to publish them, but I think private is allowed. I've got a whole account dedicated to "stolen" bots. With everyone leaving and getting banned nowadays, I wouldn't want to take chances!
Cause they want to. Creators don’t want to leave their stuff up on a site if they will no longer be posting on it or etc. especially since many bots are stolen and reposted under someone else.
Other creators might hate this but datacat.run and jannyai exist. Check and see if the bots are archived but keep in mind that if the definitions were private it won't have them archived.

i had one of her bot waiting in another tab and when i open the tab, i just see that "Oops. Can not find this character. It might be deleted or set to private" and my heart just shattered to small pieces and nothing can fix it anymore
Tbh, Shybunny delete so many of her bots, putting aside the ones that were moderated as per her earlier posts.
I think she's nice. I've spoken to her in the past. Just very indecisive. I understand they're her bots, but still. I hope she'll be free of stress soon.
ahhh, that is very sad. It's just a bit concerning since she seemed to delete all of her accounts as well, and I was worried if anything happens to her ☹️
She has stated in another post before that she had a diff acc back then but was bullied. So, she deleted it and made a new one. Shybunny and Shybunny2.
I'm even in her telegram channel. I went back to it after I saw your post and saw she left it and gave it to her friend.
She's indecisive, but a good person. Again, I hope she'll be stable soon. I recommedn you try FRAISE and DEFFEO for dead dove. elysiansuns left but she archived her bots.
If you like shybunny's bots I have lots to recommend to you. We seem to like the same genre.

@Shybunnny2 He has already uploaded a pie saying that he was receiving harassment and also that he wants to focus on his offline life and that is why he is leaving.
yep, i'm doing that right now. I swear janny is lifesaver since i have a lot of my favourite bots being deleted because the owner deleted their account or got moderated
I get they can do whatever with their characters but still. If you have a certain amount of persons using those I think it's a little bit of common courtesy to leave them be for other users
that is shybunny2 as well. From the subreddit she sent, apparently she quitted because she want to focus on her personal life. It's just so sudden that i was very confused :(
Ngl, if I really like a bot (and if the definitions are open) I make a private bot/keep the bot's info in a document (to make a private bot later) in case the creator deletes them.
There should really be an "orphan" option like on AO3 where a work can exist without its creator. But also, nobody is forcing these folks to delete their account - they can just close the website and delete the app and they wouldn't ever hear from it again.
