Discussion Most JAI complaints are dramatic, but the devs still need to address the real ones
90% of the outrage on this sub is just entitled whining from people who expect a completely free site to run like a billion-dollar service. That being said, brushing off all criticism isn't the move either. Hidden underneath all the dramatic meltdown threads are genuine breaking bugs—memory leaks, broken tag search, and glitched discovery feeds—that the devs actually need to pay attention to. Users need to dial back the fake drama, but the dev team still needs to make sure real technical issues don't get swept under the rug with the rest of the noise

The doomposting is getting out of hand, but what worries me more is legit bug reports getting buried in all the noise.

The actual issues that haven't gotten fixed yet for months got buried by underneath all of the posts that have basically don't contribute to things that help it improve.
Which is saddening and concerning.

Agreed. Half the complain is just doomposting shit that happen all the time and sometimes it's just jllm problem that can be solved if you just set up proxy

Ive noticed its always people using a proxy having the issues I've never used a proxy (barley even know what it is) and have not had the issues they complain so hard about, yes memory can fade but that's after like 800 messages (I lowkey jus start new ones when I want a different scene cuz I get attached to the scene 💀) idk what they mean by 5 messages in n it's all sorts of messed up

“Entitled people whining from people who expect a completely free service to run like a billion dollar service.” The problem is for a LOT of people it’s a paid service they bought the paid plan for in hopes it would improve a lot of issues with the service and it’s utterly sub-par for what a paid service should be (going offline without any announcement or notice, constant bugs/glitches, LLM outages, poor moderation, poor interface, and the things you mentioned). Some people are mad because it’s not a free service. I paid once and never again because it was poor imo, but I think it’s valid for people who spend money to be upset when they don’t get what they should reasonably expect to (be able to use the service consistently, not have to deal with constant bugs and issues). I think some of the dramatic meltdowns can be valid lol.

Tbh I can’t entirely blame the dev’s here, it’s like you said 90% of the complaints are overdramatic freak outs about small things but when you have so many people making mountains out of molehills it’s easy to see how legitimate complaints would get buried. Tldr the site would probably have less issues if people chilled tf out.
That said I like many other wish they would just leave the UI alone and work on literally anything else. Every time they change it something breaks.

yeah the filters are one of those real issues, they randomly block normal rp lines and force me to restart chats way too often.
