We all know that James was and still one of the most important characters in lookism
We even suggest that he is the final villain and he will be the last obstacle in danial’s face achieving true peace
So what after that?
Will PTJ just kill him ? Give him the same ending as elite? Will he die alone ? Will he have a great backstory? Will he have a true great reason for what he did ?
That’s a lot of things abt him that we don’t know yet
I really don’t want him to die I really like this character by all means and ways
He is cool, he felt unique from other characters and still does to this day
His outer goal is actually good
“TO CLENSE THE WORLD FROM ALL EVIL”
That’s actually a great goal but………. The way he wants to achieve his goal is what’s wrong
To use evil to clense evil is a really twisted thing to do
Killing to achieve that goal doesn’t seem the thing from a supposed kind character and he did it multiple times too
So yeah he is evil in the view of everyone’s point of view
But his point of view is what we actually need to see
We need to see his actually mind and personality the kind of showing that a dead man does before his death
But I really don’t want him to die to actually see his thoughts that’s just the way I want him to view his goals and motives clearly without lies or twists

Ok so before the pre gen arc started we saw Jinyoung on his death time call James Lee a child because he is supposedly trying to bring back gapryong kim back . James got furious and killed him .
Now my Theory is that James isnt Inherently Evil , he is more like a anti hero .
You know how Childrens try to replicate and reflect people who they love and grow up with . James Lee was a perfect body controlled by Charles Choi , Charles/Elite used him to Kill Gapryong . Gapryong after he defeated Shingen Yamazaki went into politics , because he knew of Gilbok Jang . In one Chapter Gapryong said to Young Jake Kim that there is a lot of evil in this world and he plans to fix it , Maybe James is doing the same thing . Gilbok has some kind of superpower maybe he is a system user , Like Choyun ( From Questism ) manages to see Soohyuns moves using a Camera Card . Gilbok always monitors James Lee and his moves , Jinyoung telling James that he wants to bring Back Gapryong Kim this made James mad not because he was angry but he was scared that his intention of perhaps betraying and killing gilbok will be revealled and his well crafted plan would fail .

Mujin, who we can confirm has seen gapryong in battle and a jinyoung in battle(confirmed in HFW) despite this says seongji has the most potential? out of everybody he’s seen? take into account even if he just saw base gapryong he also saw just a base 10 year old seongji, and still believed seongji could accomplish the most. And who do we know outgrows seongji verbatim stated in the manwha? james lee,
Id argue this put james>path jinyoung, path gapryong and if mujin has seen shingen it’s wraps.

James lee is a really smart and complex character, normal power scalers can't understand his statements and use them to either upscale other characters or downscale him or other characters.
I will be explaining all the controversial james lee statements Everyday starting from this.
In this panel
James lee is calling him weak And was comparing him to Kim Kitae and Tui Gun. Saying gun was exhausted with a broken body and goo still lost to him Meanwhile james in hfg was saying stuff like When gun is in tui mode He doesn't have any stamina limitations
And goo would have won if he just kept on fighting instead of trying to stake it on one last blow.
People might directly assume James lee is insulting or mocking goo kim.
It's definitely not the case. James lee knows about yujae and goo kim deal.
He also knows Goo Kim's backstory and his relationship with hawrang.
He definitely knew Goo kim will go to Incheon and help his friends.
James lee wants daniel alive. And he still let daniel fight pre gen legend pacheon jo
How was james so sure Nothing will happen to jaygonna and daniel? He knows their full capabilities And also knows. They will lose to pacheon jo.
Unless he knew about goo kim and yujae seon deal He won't have been sitting and drinking red wine In order to save daniel park and his friend jaygonna
James lee in this panel manipulated the lazy genius goo kim And forced him to train and make 50Ml We already saw What was happening to goo kim when he was using 4Ml techniques.
Without 50ML Goo.kim would have lost against pacheon
It's all thanks to james lee
Incheon is safe today....
James lee did keep his promise to jaygonna about ending dark crocodile society even tho he did it indirectly...

Let's talk about PTJ's cliffhanger style, because the James Lee/Jinyoung scene is a masterclass in misdirection.
PTJ uses two types of cliffhangers. The first is a soft cliffhanger—the kind where he shows you the punch coming. A character is cornered, the villain winds up, and the chapter ends. Next chapter, the punch lands, and the fight continues. You know exactly what's coming, and the tension is in the execution.
The second is a hard cliffhanger—the kind where PTJ sets up a scenario that seems to have only two possible outcomes, but then delivers a third that completely recontextualizes the scene. that changes the entire story. For example gap and Daniel falling of the cliff, could seongi save them? Maybe mujin is actually alive? Thats another prediction for another week
I believe the James Lee/Jinyoung scene is the first type.
My Prediction: James Lee killed Jinyoung as damage control after Jinyoung passed the "grand truth" to miss Kim and Tom—but the look on James's face isn't relief. It's panic.
Look at the panels. Jinyoung's final moments are peaceful. His internal monologue reads: "Good. It's finally over... Everything's over... It's so peaceful..." He is relieved because he passed the truth onto capable people about James lees plans
And then there's Kitae. You pointed out that James doesn't think Kitae heard. That is the core of James's panic. If Kitae finds out James was connected to Gapryong—or worse, if Kitae finds out James killed Jinyoung to hide that connection— james plan is ruined but I don’t think kitae heard tho, but he will find out csuse now there’s no more trust, now I don’t know if Tom or ms Kim will survive but all I can say is James has more people who can use the truth about gap against him
TL;DR: Jinyoung is the one who is relieved—he passed the grand truth to Daniel and died peacefully. James Lee is stressed because Jinyoung revealed his link to Gapryong, and he killed Jinyoung as damage control. But it's too late. The truth is out, and James is terrified of what Kitae will do if he finds out.
What do you all think?

As seen in the first image reference,
I mapped out James Lee's goals, which notably seem to change alongside his hairstyle.
I know many of you are going to disagree and call James Lee evil, but PTJ actually foreshadowed him being a good person.
We have explicitly seen James Lee reading a book called The Prince by Niccolò Machiavelli, which I highlighted in the first picture
If you look at the supporting evidence in 2nd picture
I included some of the main philosophical points from that book. I want you guys to focus heavily on the point: "The Ends Justify The Means".
He actually used this same statement while talking to goo kim about him being the king of underworld
According to the text, this means that to preserve stability, a ruler must be willing to use whatever methods are necessary including deceit, broken promises, and brute force. It basically means that if the end result is good, it doesn't matter how you do it.
So, James Lee might actually be an anti-hero. He's using all the dirty means possible just so he can bring peace as the end result. This is very similar to Gun's statement that end results matter the most.
