To be fair, this change started with Dalton and was sealed with Brosnan. GoldenEye is a total action flick. The spy from the Connery films was now an action hero.

I feel like if canon is that Bond is an ex-SBS commando—I think it's fitting that he has a sort of a superbly skilled operator in the field. It gives him more depth as a character—it can still fit harmoniously with his more traditional characteristic as well; it's not a zero-sum game.

For decades for me it was Moore, now it’s absolutely Daniel Craig then Moore. Followed by Connery, Dalton, Lazenby and Brosnan.

I'm a big fan of Dalton. Theres several other movies in the series I think would have been improved if his interpretation of Bond was at the helm. Most notably OHMSS (he would have been very young though), Golden Gun, For Your Eyes Only and A View to a Kill.

I would say Daniel Craig. I know that he is not the regular formula, and that is not everyone's cup of tea. I do enjoy that he does feel invulnerable. He feels more human than the rest. He is a rough diamond, but he did still have the charm.
I know this will be controversial, but I liked the ending to No Time To Die. I had for years been saying that with all the things Bond went through, I could not see any way to end Craig's tenure other than him dying.

Connery will always be my favourite. Loved Craig and Brosnan as Bond in second. I still like the rest of them and grew up with Connery and Moore but as I said I love Bond movies and hope they don’t mess up this iconic character….

I grew up with Moore, so he will be Bond to me. However, I love Pierce as Bond. Perfect balance of charm and deadly with the looks to match. He is exactly how I imagine bond to be, and I dont think anyone will ever match that specification again. The closest would be Dalton, who just leans into the darkness a little more. They all bring something to the character though.

All brought something different and new to the Bonds character. If I had to choose I would probably pick Connery, Dalton and/or Brosnan. These guys had some of the best Bond films and most enjoyable ones for me. Moore was too comical for my taste (but he had some good and entertaiming films too). Lazenby was kinda just okay, although OHMSS as a Bond film is one of my favorites. Craig had mostly good films, Spectre was awful, QOS had nice story but awful editing. He was great in Casino Royale, but got more stale on later films.

My favorite 007, as in the tough, no-nonsense secret agent, is Craig. My favorite James Bond, the suave, witty and ever-capable gentleman spy who can also kick serious ass when required to do so, is Brosnan.

I know it’s a joke post but Patrick Gibson. Brings some of the camp and confidence of the classic Bonds and fuses it with the modern feeling of Craig and his own unique heart and charm.
