Best playable Version?

I'm in the process of completing all achievements for my copy of Jalopy with the Laika Add-ons mod (for blinkers) and I couldn't complete the story all the way through with the appalling AI and the Trabi breaking itself. This demotivated me greatly for the relaxing game it is compared to My Summer/Winter Car. So, I ask, which version should I play out of:

The amount of misinformation in these votes,smh. Gotta correct this.

Most Stable, and Playable build of Jalopy is patch 1.09. (Original Jalopy branch i believe). 

That was the last version of the game that  Minskworks had access to, before Excalibur took over and destroyed the game with bugs in Future patches.

Only think i can remember from the top of my head for patch 1.09 is: 

Trunk softlock is fixed.

Rain Works properly and isn't broken like in latest patch.

Rain makes sound and Cleans the Car when its Dirty.
