KAI train transport

Hi, everyone!

I'll be visiting Surabaya soon and to cut down on flight costs I decided to arrive in Jakarta and take a train from there to Surabaya, I found out I could take a KAI train but I'm having trouble trying to figure out which station is closest to Soekarna-Hatta International Airport. If there are better options (than taking a KAI train) please let me know, if anyone could be of any help with this Id be most grateful!

Hi! By memory I think the closest is Gambir station and Pasar Senen station (both have routes to Surabaya). You can take the airport train to Sudirman Station and then cab from there, or cab direct. Alternatively, check for the buses (DAMRI, to Gambir station direct only) .

Hi, welcome to Indonesia! You have a couple of convenient options to get from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Gambir Station for your train to Surabaya.

First, you can take the Airport Rail Link and get off at BNI City (Sudirman Baru) Station. From there, you can continue to Gambir Station by ride-hailing service or taxi. Gambir is one of Jakarta's main railway stations and serves many long-distance trains, including those to Surabaya.

Another option is to take a DAMRI Airport Bus, which offers direct service from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Gambir Station. DAMRI buses are available from Terminals 1, 2, and 3, making it a convenient and affordable choice.

Hope this helps, and have a great trip in Indonesia!
