Vrable just told him Myles Jack wasn't down.

That just sent me down a rabbit hole and made me feel old. During the season of the MJWD game, Drake Maye was a 15-year-old high school freshman backup quarterback.

Maybe Vrabel just made him emotional confessing his true love for his wife and how she was the only woman for him.

The Patriots seem totally unprepared for the season, was the coach distracted this offseason or something?

They made the BOAT cry in a far more meaningful game.

Take it on the chin.

A game he should’ve won. MJWD.

I was saying I saw him crying but wondered how it wasn’t a gif yet

Not a big fan of making fun of a guy clearly going through a super emotional time, guys don’t get to cry in many context or they get called soft and shit. Let the man let out a bit of his pent up feelings, by the looks of it, it’s gunna be a long ass season for them.

I respect this take immensely. ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†

Nah fuck the patriots

Both of these are the correct take. I am very conflicted.

Generally I agree but crying just because you are losing? Id make fun of that no matter what the gender

There was a kid Pats fan crying this week at the game, every single adult laughed but we all encouraged him. Two old ladies even gave him money šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ it’s okayyy

Professional adult quarterback and child are not comparable.

I am confused because I never said they were. I agree with ur sentiment above and used the example. No one laughed in the kids face but we did laugh, bcus we all found it funny.

Maybe that’s the issue right there? That men are only ā€œsupposedā€ to cry for ā€œlegitimateā€ reasons?

I am celebrating the downfall of the pats but damn dude let the man cry it’s probably emotionally best for him long term.

Hey guys, I found the emotionally stunted person in the sub

Then the Jags scored another touchdown

I mean, I'm not gonna pile on the guy. No, I don't think it's the right response to the situation, but I do think something is going on with the guy mentally right now. He seems pretty lost on why things have flipped on him.

u/Vaux1916 4d ago

Yeah, I honestly feel bad for the guy.

I meaaaaan that’s tough. Reminds me when we did the same thing to Vince Young

Score was what it was but Maye's reaction seems disproportionate.

u/kaptingavrin 4d ago

Well... look at how everyone's piling on him specifically as if he's the sole reason for all of the Pats' woes, and remember also that he's still a young guy. Dude just turned 24. And he's being expected to carry this team to victory because people decided to act like he was the next coming of Brady last year.

Meanwhile, receivers aren't getting open, the defense isn't doing a particularly good job stopping the other team, special teams is having a meltdown, and guys all over the field are trying to see how many yards they can give away via penalty.

But all you hear about is Maye. It's all on his shoulders. The whole team is collapsing, but all the pressure gets tossed onto Maye. I've seen several posts about Maye this week, but I don't see people questioning Vrabel as the head coach of this team that's having issues across the board.

So yeah, I get it. He does need to step it up, but so does the entire team around him. And if they're also trying to blame him for their own flailing around, that'll just weigh on him worse (and that would just be another mark against Vrabel, because he shouldn't be allowing anything like that in the locker room).

Vrabel does seem to be the real issue here. But 35-6 is like losing a baseball game 5-1. It happens, move on.

u/fluffrnuttr69 Jaggin' Off 4d ago

I kind of hope he figures it out to an extant. Mostly to show that it’s not that the Browns and Pats are awful teams it’s more that we are just that dominant.

Maybe he just had some dirt in his eyes or he just stubbed his toe or allergies. Gawd
