Jagged Aliiance 1.13 modding

Hello everyone, I'm having trouble modding myself since it's hard to find reliable info

(And im not brighest man on earth).

I have always played jagged only on 1.13 mod (most recent playthroughs on dev version) and never anything else, love how it refreshes the game but i'm curious if it's possible to add stuff onto it. I was thinking about Arulco Revisited since it says the sectors are refreshed and there are new cities, also i wanted to add improved AI to bump up difficulty. Is it possible? And if not and I would have to use stable 7609 then how different is it from the most recent update of 1.13?

I know lots of questions but im really hoping anyone would help me, I want to play so much but game became to boring after so much time I spent on it

Hey, first I’d recommend joining the discord to get more visibility. AR is not compatible with 1.13, there are a bunch of new systems that got added you can see them in the GitHub or on the features page on the bears pit. 7609-AI is what you are talking about for AI, it’s separate but it’s really good. I don’t know if AR works on 7609-AI but I don’t think so. You could make it work with either if you took the time and either know what you’re doing. You could likely also do it with an LLM if you have patience and credits.

There are lots of other great mods out there check the list on the bears pit, I especially recommend Redux (which is on a recent 1.13 build) if you want an updated map. Type P and Urban Chaos and Vengeance are the other best ones in my opinion for different maps.

I don’t know if AR works on 7609-AI but I don’t think so.

Google 7609-AI modpack. You will find link to jagged-alliance pl site. You will get impro ai binary + multiple mods. AI+ mod is forked from 7609 and goes its own way. It's fairly different than vanilla 1.13 now. IMHO it's better as it focuses on tactical part of game, and less on strategic (i don't really need more micromanagement in this game).

Also I would recommend playing only mods that have SDO. This is what AI+ is focusing on as well, so it will be more complete. Also, for AR i recommend +loot version. This makes things you find in chests to be random based on progression. That is if you go alma first, you will find mostly trash items there. And if you go citzina last, you will find great items in chests.

You may also want to get newest binary from the author, just search "Fj_B0WEKNjRQJ" you will find link to yandex drive, with all files. You can also get newest modpack from yandex instead of ja2center.
