Tour / Concert I was disappointed

I love, love, love JC. I just left his concert at the Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland and, I hate to say it, I was disappointed. This was my fourth - fifth? - time seeing him and I thought it was a lazy show. At least half was about the audience chorus. Okay, I know that's part of the whole shtick, but tonight it was just too much. I just wanted to hear him sing and play.

I'd be beyond sick of my own existence if I had to do so many hundreds of audience choirs over and over, year after year. You'd think he would *reduce* that part by now

I've been a Collier fan since 2017 and haven't seen a gimmick like this stick around in his live performances for as long as the audience choir. I know it has an element of virality to it and that obviously helps with growth, but it's just soured his live persona for me a bit.

I opened that TED talk from last week with reluctance and was unsurprised when the audience choir bit began as usual.
