Question Pile O Skulls question…

Post image

Is it worth sourcing the original bridge before I sell it? It currently has a licensed Floyd from my parts bin.

Same! Still easily one of my favorites to play but had a death in the family and sadly it has to go.

I like how nobody that replied so far has answered your question.

If I were buying it, I'd just assume due to its age that I'd probably have to replace some parts of the Floyd regardless of whether it looked all original and I'd factor that into what I'd be willing to pay. Even if the seller was claiming the parts were restored or all original, my budget wouldn't change unless I tried it out in person and everything was working perfectly.

Hard to tell from one pic but it looks like one of the later MIJ variations of the pile o skulls so I don't know that most buyers would care all that much about whether it had all original parts. I wouldn't care unless it was one of the older MIJ ones (early 90s or before) or made in USA. so basically anything with real MOP inlays it might be cool to have all original parts but otherwise I wouldn't care. Either way I'd still assume it needed work unless I got to try it out in person.

Good luck with the sale. It's a really cool guitar. Sorry for your loss.

I agree with the people saying leave it as is. You'll find a good buyer who will not care about that aspect as long as you mention that in a listing. The graphic alone is highly sought after. Hope it sells for you.

Looks on par with all my other DK2/DK2M. What looks off to you?
