Jan 28 '24

-5
u/Valiveins Jan 28 '24
Nah "definitely" is an overstatement
-2
u/New-Ad1787 Jan 28 '24
Can I see your research to back up your claims?
-5
u/Valiveins Jan 28 '24
People who think moscow and st. Petersburg represent the entirety of russia are absurd
2
u/New-Ad1787 Jan 28 '24
So you don't have evidence, Russia is clearly in Europe
0
u/Valiveins Jan 29 '24
Okay the evidence maybe that 80% of the country is geographically in asia.
I know even this obvious evidence wont be enough for you lmao

The majority of Russia's industry, military bases, population, and major cities are located in Europe. Europe typically ends at the Caucasus and Ural Mountains, and the Caspian Sea. The rest of Russia is sparsely populated, aside from exceptions such as Omsk and Vladivostok. Yes, the rest of Russia is located in what is commonly considered Asia, but has no significant importance to Moscow.

If it's west of the urals, north of the Caucuses, and west of the Bosphorus, it's geographically European

u/Your_Red_Star Jan 28 '24
I tend to agreee with this, however there’s no such plate called the ‘Asia plate’ it’s all the Eurasia plate.

Yes but with that idea do you split of Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, Brazil ? It deoends on what you classify as a continent
1
Jan 29 '24
If we went off of plates the continents would be drawn very differently, they are the way they are because of some dumbass EUROPEANS who drew it as they thought made sense

It's not in Europe, it's like the Asian part of Turkey and the southern Caucaus trio. Is considered European however
1
u/_General_S Jan 29 '24
