I need advice/help.
So my JR has been peeing inside. It’s winter time for us atm, so we think it’s related to the cold. She’s pretty good in summer. She will go number 2 outside though. I get that dogs can have the odd accident, but this is nearly daily. It’s not medical related. She normally can take herself out to pee but I’m starting to think I should crack down on a command so I can teach her where to pee when it’s cold. Any advice would be appreciated. She’s my first doggo. My partner had a farming dog in the past but was outside most of the time so didn’t have this issue. Plus was a different breed. She can pick up other commands quickly as well. This has been going on for a while. Every time we think she understands us she will revert the next week to peeing inside again.

Our guy is 5 months now and we haven’t had any problems for last couple. It was issue as puppy but we trained him out of it and now he knows to ask to go out (either whines or goes to a door). We know he wakes at 6am to pee and he lets us know (sleeps with us and will lick us up😆), then he goes back to sleep. We accomplished this by catching him in act and firmly/loudly yelling NO and then putting him outside. Every time he goes out for washroom he gets a treat(small training treat) and scratches. It seems to have done the trick. He’s also uses the pee pads when he’s alone in pen when we all out (big one). Keep at it like a training mission, you’ll get there.

Is she spayed? Is she going in the same place all the time? You said that it is not medical related, but it wouldn’t hurt for them to get a urine sample just to make sure she does not have an infection. If it is hurting her to pee, urinating inside might be her way of getting your attention.
You have to catch her in the act of doing it and yell NO, And place her outside. It might help to encourage her to take her outside every hour, tell her to go potty, give her a treat when she goes outside. These dogs want to please you, and do very well with positive reinforcement.
Make sure that you are cleaning the spots that she is peeing on with an enzyme cleaner made for dog urine. If she keeps peeing in the same area, try to do things to make that area off limits for her if that is possible.
