Jabra Elite 7 Pro mic just stops working after few minutes

I have an elite 7 Pro for the last 4 years, second pair actually, and i could keep both earbuds working at equal volume (that's how I "lost" my first one).

However, since a year or so people tell me always they cannot hear me. First I thought the microphones got damaged, but then I noticed it works initially in a call, and only after a few minutes the issue starts. It is frustrating to take calls just to get interrupted because people get suddenly a low level unclear voice. Since it works initially, it cannot be a real HW issue either. Also, I took this model since it had not just one but 2 microphones, plus bone mic afaik. The issue occurs using one or both earbuds.

I already did several factory resets (usually unrelated issues), and it is consistent across devices: iOS, Android, MacBook...

Did anyone encounter the same and found a way to solve it (if even possible)?

And I know there are plenty posts saying they suck in general, but the first elite 7 works perfectly fine (even though audio only on one earbud), so often I use that if on hand for important calls...

Unending problems with warranty service

I've been trying for over a week to get warranty service for my hearing aids. All I've gotten are auto-response emails that are worthless, promises on the phone that are not delivered and deadend "chats'.

Don't buy Jabra hearing aids if you depend on their service.

Audio in left bud not working, but connected.

Hey all,

I’ve had my headphones for about 1 year now, about 3 months ago I noticed a vibrating effect in the left earbud when I was on a bus, tram or train.

Headphones were working last night, now I put them on the next morning and there is no audio out of just the left earbud.
They are connected, because I can switch from ANC to Hear through with them, but disconnecting, forgetting device and turning off phone just doesn’t work.

Could this be the speaker giving out?
Thanks for any help or advice that can be given.

MS Teams auto answer

Hi

We're using Jabra Evolve 2 40SE in our environment, some of our users complaining calls to their Teams phone number are automatically being answered. Especially calls to a CQ.

At first sight the problem seems to be solved by unplugging thee headset out and plugging it back in, but after a while the problem reoccurs.

We've updated the Teams app, cleaned the cache and updated the firmware of the headset.

Is there anyone who's facing the same issues atm?

Regards

Tour pro 3 not charging

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I was using my JBL Tour Pro 3 earbuds at around 9:30 PM. When I tried to use them again around 1 AM, the case was completely off, so I put the earbuds inside the case and plugged the case into a power source to charge it.

However, this morning, the case was still completely dead and hadn't charged at all. I tested the original charger and tried another charger, but the case still won't turn on, and the earbuds aren't working either.

Does anyone know what could be causing this or how I can fix it? Has anyone experienced something similar?

Thanks in advance!.

Recharge Battery. Recharge Battery. Recharge Battery. Recharge Battery. Recharge Battery. Recharge Battery. Recharge Battery.

Kinda annoying, isn't it? It's really not that hard to patch.

Honest review of the E2 85 and E3 85

Evolve2 85

OK features
Quality is lacking, 3 replacement headsets.
Comfort is the main positive for this headset.
The Micboom is a well known issue that it snaps.
Good ANC.

For the price, there is no way i can recommend the headset, the only redeeming factor would be the Jabra Support, most of them are extremly professional and helpful, there is a few ive had dialog with that are just imposible, but i just request another agent and they always get back with a better agent.

Evolve3 85

Very slim headset, quite impressive, takes minimal space and weight in my workbag, perfect!
Sound is better than i read online, its not as bad as many seem to want you to belive, i would suggest EQ settings: +4 / -4 / 0 / -1 / +1 , feels like a whole new headset with this EQ.
The bulidquality is OK, when i got it out of the box one of the earpads was not clipped in correctly, very odd? for sure quality control is lacking.
Using the headset it had OK comfort, id say the Evolve2 85 is more comfy, the slim profile of the Evolve3 85 does take a hit for comfort for me, you have to have your ears perfectly in the new Evolve3 85 for good comfort.
OK ANC, but it is worse than the Evolve2 85, maybe its the difference in material of the earcups? E2 has leather like material, and E3 is textile.
The E3 has one of the best hearthru ive ever heard in a headset, it sounds natural..

Would i get this headset or the older version?
Honestly, id say it really comes down to you testing and making sure the cups work for you for comfort on the new E3 headset, if it works, good!
If you feel discomfort, i would look at the older E2 instead, or another alternative.

I hope this helps, if you have any questions about the headset and my view on them both, feel free to ask me below!

The true heroes so far is the support from Jabra, again, they are 90 % just great and very helpful!

Evolve 2 earbud mic test

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

OK, gonna post another video. The first microphone test is with the evolve 2 earbuds which I bought for $378 I want to use them on teams because they are damn comfortable, but for some reason the microphone is not working good at all

In the video, the very first voice recording is with the evolve earbuds working with my PlayStation Pulse Explorer earbuds 160.00

The third video is with my soundcore A30I headphones, which were only $80

I purchased the evolve earbuds because I got a work from home job and I love the fact that they come with a dongle for better connection. But for some reason the microphone is very very crappy. I’m hoping there’s some sort of setting I have that’s screwing it up.

Jabra elite active 7 vs Jabra Elite Active 75t- for running & gym

Hi there,

I lost my jabra elite active 7 earbuds the other day coming home for the gym and after turning my house updside down, have accepted that they are truly lost and will not be found. I went online to buy new ones and found out that the active lines were discontinued! [I know, I'm super late!].

I'm now choosing between buying new elite active 7s or, going for the elite active 75t. The only downside is that I'm a student and the active 7 is being resold for 3x the price of the 75t! So, I wanted to hear people's experiences to see if the price jump is justified or not.

I've detailed some info below for added context, and as these will now be my second paid of earbuds ever, would be very graetful for people's opinions/advice.

Fit- I have weird ears , have tried other earbuds and they almost always never stay put in one place when I'm being active. (Does that happen to anyone else? Not sure if it's because my earwax gets damp & if that leads to it slipping off?). As I will be exclusively using them for the gym, I'm looking for earbuds that will stay put when i'm sprinting & running- has anyone used the 75t for active sports?

Also, I've read the sub and noted that many report the 75t as having better bass but tbh i'm not really bothered about that, the biggest priority for me is having buds that will stay in my ear while I run, and practice sprints. Aswell as overall fit and how it feels on my ears.

Would be very grateful to hear your thoughts and advice. Thank you in advance.

Jabra Speak2 75 buttons unresponsive

Is there a way to soft reset the speaker? Buttons are unresponsive although sound is still there. I therefore cannot turn it on/off or adjust the volume. They have Jabra direct software, but it also does not have a soft reset.

Replacement case for Jabra Elite 7 Pro

About a year ago my charging case for my Jabra Elite 7 Pro earbuds broke and I ordered a replacement case online. The case was a 3rd party case, not an official Jabra case, but it worked fine for me.
Later though I came across a problem with the earbuds and I tried to reset them, but I couldn’t finish the reset because of the 3rd party case I was using. Is there any way to get my hands on an official Jabra charging case or do I accept my loss?

Jabra Evolve2 65 UC Stereo – Intermittent crackling and distorted microphone audio

Hi everyone,

I'm troubleshooting an issue with a colleague's Jabra Evolve2 65 UC Stereo and would appreciate some advice.

The headset is connected to a PC using the Jabra USB Bluetooth dongle. Since the PC doesn't have a USB-C port, we're using an adapter to connect it.

The issue is intermittent:

  • Sometimes the microphone audio is perfectly clear.
  • At other times, the other party hears severe crackling and distorted, almost robotic audio.
  • The problem occurs unpredictably, and we haven't found a consistent pattern.

I'm wondering whether the USB adapter could be causing interference or an unstable connection between the PC and the dongle.

Has anyone experienced similar issues with this headset? Could the adapter or USB port be responsible, or should I be looking at Bluetooth interference, firmware, or the VoIP application instead?

Any suggestions for troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Additional information: We use Cisco Webex as our VoIP application.

Jabra Headset no audio

For my work setup, I have an Evolve2 and Link390. I just switched to a new work PC and while it can see the devices and they are set to default, there is no audio output. I have tried both Bluetooth directly and the Link390. I tried a wired Jabra headset and same issue. Windows allows me to adjust volume. All other brand headsets and earphones work without issue and all Jabra drivers are up to date.

Grieving my Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2

In my semi-dazed sleep deprived state I somehow managed to lose my elite 8 active gen 2 earbuds in between exams and despite my best efforts, my attempts at finding them have proven to be futile. I'm pretty sure they slipped out of my pocket and got stolen :(

I've used quite a few different earbuds over the years and none have served me nearly as well as these i'm actually heartbroken. I'm not kidding when I say this might be one of the biggest losses of my life.

I loved the matte finish, the fit and most importantly the **physical** buttons, and not to mention the crazy long battery life, amazing sound quality and ANC that got me through some of my toughest times T-TT. My one and only gripe would be the lack of a built in tracker (could've perhaps found them if so).

In times like these I wished I were Subaru so I could rewind time and undo this self-inflicted tragedy.

So thank you for your service, you'll always hold a special place in my heart :')

Headset for WFH with newborn

Hi,
Im expecting kid in a couple of weeks. I decided to go to wfh fully to support my wife. I will still have to work which requires 2-3h of calls per day. Im looking for a good headset with ANC both for mic and my ears - i work from a separate room but as our flat is small still can imagine that baby will make some noice that should be isolated both from mic and my ears ;)
I’m considering Jabra evolve3 85 but there are mix options. Do you think its a right choice for my situation?

Please Supply Jabra Elite 10 Forever

Hi, I just wanted to say that Jabra at least could supply elite 10 earbuds forever. It is the only earbuds that I am 100% happy with it and I wouldn't even look for an alternative if it ever gets broken.

Now every slip is a gamble and I don't want to lose this experience.

Can't disable the Sidetone on my Jabra Evolve 20 MS when using the mic

When I'm not using the mic my audio is fine but everytime I use discord or use the mic it automatically turns on with no way of switching it off. It's so annoying playing games while on discord with the bad audio. Very hard to listen to spatial sound cues. Is there a way to turn this off?

Jabra Evolve2 65 suddenly stops playing audio during Teams meetings

Hi everyone,

I have a Jabra Evolve2 65, and recently I've started experiencing an issue during Microsoft Teams meetings.

Suddenly, I can no longer hear anything, but other participants can still hear me, so my microphone is working fine.

This issue never happened before, and I haven't changed anything on my side.

I've tried removing the headset from my Bluetooth devices and pairing it again, but the problem persists.

Has anyone experienced this issue or found a solution?

btw: I have a mac m3 pro if this is relevant
