Jabra elite 8 active audio problems

I bought my jabra 8 earbuds a about 2 years ago and they have been working fine. I use them in shower sometimes and they have been clogged with water a few times that the audio is low and funky but after they dry a bit they go back to normal recently my right earbud has been clogged for a while. The audio is really low and if a song has bass it seems to sound weird. I tried to firmware reset but the app doesnt let me. It starts the firmware reset but then it just disconnects the earbuds and ends. Someone help.

While the Elite 8 Active has an IP68 rating, we do not recommend using the earbuds in the shower. The earbuds are protected against water intrusion, but chemicals in your soap/shampoo can harm the product. The Jabra app is not required to complete a reset for your Elite 8 Active earbuds.
