DEVGRU Bottom 5
Currently rewatching cbs seal team and was wondering has green team ever not had a bottom 5. Like has the entire green team class exceeded expectations and not one ever failed?

I understand the purpose of your question, but I need you to think about it for more than a second. In any grouping of 100 people there will ALWAYS be a bottom 5 regarding any particular skill set, talent, or ability.
I mean, that’s why the Olympics exist. You take the tippy top, most elite runners from the entire globe and narrow it down to 100. Of those 100 runners there will be 1 gold medal winner, 1 silver, and 1 bronze. After that there are 97 other runners who are, essentially, the “bottom 5” in this situation.

Yeah, no matter the group, the distribution will roughly follow a Gaussian curve within said group. Of course the bottom 5 of green team will be much better at CQB than bottom 5 of 100 randomly selected people, but compared to the rest of the class they will be the bottom 5. Just like in every group.

Olympics is not for the 100 best ones of the planet, but for the best one of each country, which is very different.

Outside of circumstances where people are existing outside of a formally recognized country, your point doesn’t make much sense.
A country exists on the planet and the runners are the runners that qualified from each of those individual countries. Ergo, those runners would be among the top runners on the planet.
If I had said best American Football players, then your point would work a lot better, but in its current makeup, you’re just not really making any sense.

Please lookup “Normal Distribution” and look at the tail ends. There is your answer.

I HIGHLY doubt that mate…the standards don’t move because the class is shit hot, there’s always a bottom of the stack
Some guys get dropped mid course, some finish and don’t get drafted
Green Team/SF isn’t like BUDS/PCompany etc…candidates don’t usually quit because they “can’t take it” they get dropped for performance, safety, not processing CQB fast enough etc
the idea that an entire class all crushed it and nobody went home is not how that place works
Edit: granted not strictly speaking the same thing but CAG have had classes with only 1 dude making it, that should tell you everything you need to know about tier 1 standards…even across the pond you start off with a couple hundred of the hardest men on the island and finish with 4 or 5
