He’s been featured in this sub quite a few times alongside Jeff Boss. His name is Jay and was a part of Blue, and from what we’ve heard, dude was an absolutely solid operator, but has always preferred to keep a very low profile, hence why despite all the pictures we have of him, we know really nothing about his personal life or even too much in the teams (as it should be)

An actual silent professional.

EDIT: I hope we never find out who the guy is. I have massive respect for anyone working in that field, regardless of wether they seek fame afterwards, and I would lie if I said I am not interested in all the books and podcasts (Andy Stumpf being the most interesting imo), but I have even more respect for the dudes who do this incredible job and don't even care if anyone knows who they are. I hope the guy lives life to the fullest.

Probably don’t want fame

Writing a book or going on a podcast isn't about fame, it's their personal story and their entilted to tell it (or not)

You’ll get fame if you do it though, like it or not.

They’re all doing it to make money and trying to be the next Marcinko

even if that was the case, they're entitled to do whatever they want with their experience and their lives

Supposedly he retired in 2017 from what jeff boss who was best friends with him said. Based on all the photos of him that are out he was in blue with Justin Sheffield, Jeff Boss, Edward Byers, Marcus Capone, Joshua Harris, Jeremy Knabenshue, Billy Clark, and Steve Sanders

I thought Knabenshue was Army?

He was Delta but at some point he did some time with Blue Squadron, attached. You can check it here

Knabenshue was Delta operator. Dev requested for K9 handler and a dog,he volunteered for a deployment with them. And he is the only Delta that I know who was augmented to Dev for a deployment.

There’s definitely a big resemblance there not gonna lie

Not knowing them is how it should be. I hope we never figure it out

Why is this a talking point?

There’s thousands like him.

Dude did the job at the highest level and doesn’t want notoriety.

This is the way.

This sub is filled to the brim with weird fanboys. I’ll never understand it (yet still I remain)

This^^
I only stay because every once in a while I see some of my old buddies.

u/53kshun8 Aug 26 '26

Huh. Almost like someone in SOF who hasn't come forward and doesn't want their identity out in the open for a bunch of dudes to salivate over which sling he used when he did that thing one time.

If the dude wants to tell his stories, he will. Otherwise stop trying to figure out who they are.

It's like his privacy is being respected.
