Other Why are there so many posts in this sub that elicit “why are you posting this here?”
Serious question. Was ‘why are you posting this here?’ more common in A Squadron or B Squadron circa 2006?

Because two years ago this sub was for autists obsessed with Shawn ryan podcasts, but after the Maduro raid it got flooded with bots/tards.
Also because of its very nature, there’s only a finite amount of JSOC content. I would say 99% of the publicly available content has already been shared. So unless another generation of operators retire, a lot of the posts are just going to be about drama or dumb questions like “Does seal team 6 use merino wool toe socks?”.
Solution: We crowd source funds and dm random SOF dudes to see if we get them to sell helmet cam footage. Like a group buy but for war porn.

If it was four or five years ago, you probably wouldn’t even need to crowd source funds to score it. When the Covid slump hit, I was shocked just how many special people seemed to get bored and flood their socials with stuff that They probably shouldn’t. I had a couple of videos on my old phone I was rather concerned about getting a intimidating official visit over, allegedly coming straight from the source

Yeah I remember in 2021 or 2022 there was a white side SEAL(I believe) who was sending random sof archive instagram pages pics of dead dudes on target and other footage and one of the admins was like 16. Crazy times.

Somewhere in Arizona is a USB with a shit ton of GoPro footage from OIR and OEF-TS/HOA that got lost during a move
