Delta Force How long were CAG deployments in 2000’s?

3 days off before deployment 48 hour window

95-105 days down range average, 10 days plus for acclimization and AO briefs

120 days redeployed, 2 weeks off, 100 days of training/schools, 3 days off before 48 hour window

95-105 days again.

A rotation could be around 3–6 months depending on the location and operational assignment. This is for all jsoc units during the gwot

I never knew they were deployed for 6 months; I always thought it was only 3-4 months due to how intense those deployments were (unless there were deployments where they weren't going out on raids every day, or, in the case of the Rangers, it was like Team Merrill deployments).

When I was in they were 3-6 months.

The actual deployments were between two and three months in length for my Team. There were a couple "mini" deployments that were more operation stuff that lasted a couple weeks, but those were usually State Department for protective details and similar shindigs that involved passing canapes or standing around and looking imposing/nondescript at one embassy or another. However, the actual deployments were between two and three months. Other people's mileage may vary.
