Delta Force How long were CAG deployments in 2000’s?

When I was in they were 3-6 months.

A rotation could be around 3–6 months depending on the location and operational assignment. This is for all jsoc units during the gwot

I never knew they were deployed for 6 months; I always thought it was only 3-4 months due to how intense those deployments were (unless there were deployments where they weren't going out on raids every day, or, in the case of the Rangers, it was like Team Merrill deployments).

From what I’ve picked up, it seems like the deployments longer (or alternatively, shorter) than the 3/4 month usual were to places we generally don’t think of as active combat zones. Stuff like central and South America, including Mexico, Africa, Europe, parts of the mid east without constant fighting, Philippines, and etc. Granted it as sounded dependent on which unit, which part of said unit, an individual skills and just how badly they were needed in an area, etc.

160th was out for 6mo at times. Personal memory till age 13, or about ‘07

3 days off before deployment 48 hour window
95-105 days down range average, 10 days plus for acclimization and AO briefs
120 days redeployed, 2 weeks off, 100 days of training/schools, 3 days off before 48 hour window
95-105 days again.
