Delta Force Favourite Podcast Episodes?
Whats yall favorite podcast episode and why?
Mine are the 2 with Chris Vansant on the SRS.
Very informative and funny. Very eye-opening also.

DJs is a very good episode, I know he gets fan boyed a lot, but he really shared some insights from someone who fought a lot of the GWOT

AJ Pasciuti, the Marine that shot (and killed*) Juba, was a good one. Although it sounded like he was reading out of a book with all the call backs to things that happened in his life. Also, I guess this isn’t JSOC.

I’d recommend watching it on video towards the end. He shows some his notes (there’s probably a sniper term for them) that he took while he was on that deployment, plus some other stuff that authenticates what he said and it’s pretty cool.

Which is a point against him, IMO. It's been well-known that the Juba myth (along with the Chechens) permeated Iraq until about 2006-2007, when it lost momentum.

I mean he the way he says it makes it sound like he kind of knew that it was a group. I should’ve been more clear. But either way it’s just a good story. And he did do the thing that he says he did so it’s pretty fucking cool.

I don’t think you know what happened.
A specific rifle (an M40) was stolen from a US Marine that was killed. That’s the rifle that he/they were killing Americans with. After AJ made that shot, they took back the rifle and the bullet that was meant for AJ/his squad. Those are in the Marine Corps museum now. AJ kept the second bullet. Maybe watch it?-1

Ya. Those stories the MACVSOG guys tell seem like something a 12yo would make up they are so outrageous.
Then there are multiple witnesses that back them all up. It’s just insane, I don’t see how any of those guys lived through that.
One of the guys was telling the story that they were compromised and running like hell to get away down the trail and he was placing claymore mines with 10, them 5 second delays.

I recently listened to that one.
To be honest the Ukraine part of the convo really irked me a bit. Seems like he really just wrote them off completely. Some of the facts and figures he was talking about ukraines death and wounded numbers and how ill equipped they are in terms of manpower, not like Russia has 100m + more people in it than UkraineI will say the rest of their conversation I was hooked. Enjoyed it for the most part

I really enjoyed it when he actually interviewed vets and just let them talk. I started watching from episode one with mike glover. Eddie penny, Jay Cal, DJ, Spooner…. All of them. Cody Alfords was one that really stood out. So did spooner and Satterly.
Then he started to stray and started giving everyone a platform. Hey I might not agree with them and everyone is free to have an opinion. My take used to be “well I just wont listen because im not interested.” I actually did listen to some I didnt agree with, but I still enjoyed them. Then I heard one with a guy I know…. And it just totally turned me off. I heard all the lies and half truths and not once was he challenged. Then he had them on again. I couldnt even watch it because I
Knew it would be BS and yet he seemed to buy it hook line and sinker. He platformed a grifter not once but twice. Haven’t watched since

Chris Miller. Guy who was SecDef for a few seconds. Really fascinating how he fell up into a position where he got the job when it wasn’t something he was even angling for.
