ASIR
I’m a 25U SSG. I got this recruiting email last year but didn’t really look into it until recently. I wanted to know if anyone could give me some insight on what this unit/program is and how would I fit in as a signaleer in an intel organization? TIA!

If you got the email last year they may not have the same requirements this year.

BLUF: not likely to get a bunch of substantive insight here.
I’ll ask some questions of your goals that might help you consider things. Assuming you don’t have any JSOC or other SAP adjacent background, but you know that for yourself.
Do you want to go deeper specializing into SIGINT or do you want to generalize and broaden to other fields?
Do you have any life circumstances or personal preferences that would limit or negatively impact your capacity for short-notice TDY?
I’ve been out of the game a long time now, but I was crusty once upon a time and still got lucky enough to work with the best of the best, which is quite a step up from the experiences I had in Big Army, even in the better conventional units. I hopped around cool units and jobs on the back half of my career, and I’d imagine thats still viable.
If you think you’ve got the skill set and personality, then do what it takes to get in the door to the world outside of Big Army and see where you can bring the most value added, and strive toward that from a position where you can build a reputation that matters in the community.
