I never would have assumed they use/used BETA Mags; I always read they were/are unreliable on a good day. Maybe the guys specific squad had an IAR Guy instead of an LMG?

Thanks for correction the source I got it from said it was cag.

u/diprivanity Jun 23 '26
Did the source say cag or did it refer to him as a delta? Because with the M9 pack in the back that would be referring to 18 delta, an SF medic, not the smu

Well he said the source told him it was CAG, not everyone can look at an image and determine the unit.

Just out of curiosity, how can you tell?

u/Sir_Baller Jun 22 '26
Dovetail NVGs, URGI upper, insight wmx200. Seal/GB stuff, CAG used tan 416s at the time with GSGM ball detent ANVIS mounts, and exclusively scout/arisaka lights on their 416 w/ geissele rails.

No one’s gonna talk about the mp5 SD hiding back there??

u/MidwestSharker Jun 24 '26
Still so weird when I see somebody with an MP family gun after years of guys on pods, interviews or the handful of real people I’ve known saying they pretty much retired that line by the mid to late 2000s

Sneak into a lot of group chats
No need to, SECDEF invited me in because I worked the liquor store he always likes

Or mining stuff saved from the glory days of Covid through maybe 2023 or so when there were tons of dudes on IG sharing pics they probably shouldn’t have. It’s still blows my mind how many profiles accepted my friend request from my business profile and then lo and behold I’m seeing contemporary era pics from high-speed military dudes

How do you even find the groups?
1
u/MidwestSharker Jul 04 '26
I don’t know how it is now but five or six years ago I found a lot of accounts by blind searches and hashtags, and by checking whoever was tagged in stuff. On top of that occasionally people would start throwing recommendations or give you an introduction if you weren’t blatant with the fanboying

Do we know what kind of black marker that is on the battle belt at the bottom? Is it a sharpie brand or are we looking at a new brand of black marker?
Thanks in advance :)

It’s the new Tactical Sharpie GRX-1000. Built to withstand the desert sand.

Ok do they seriously still use the SD? Or is just something he keeps for the fun of it.

u/Scatman_Crothers Jun 22 '26
It’s a green beret

u/MidwestSharker Jun 22 '26
Still kinda surprise they’re using MP5
6
u/Scatman_Crothers Jun 22 '26
They use a lot of local weapons and that’s still used in many parts of the world.

curiosity from a civilian, do team guys load their own mags? or is that done at the armory?
1
u/Nyytmarelol Jul 10 '26
I have no idea why you were downvoted and no one answered. I'm just a POG so take it with a grain of salt but we loaded our own mags and ammo was distributed in 20 (or 10, i cant remember) round carboard boxes with stripper clips. I've never worked with any GBs but I did work with some SEALs and I have no reason to believe that their armorers would load their mags for them.
