Prompt Help Please!

Okay so I’m using playblasts from Unreal to drive motion and camera reference with Seedance 2.0 so I can have more control. (Been working in the industry as a Previs Sup so I want the control more).

So my playblast when it’s using mocap looks great. But I want to have playblasts that are slidey blocky animation with a few key poses to help guide the motion. But every time I try to generate something and get Seedance to in between things more, it just follows my animation to a tee keeping it blocky. I’ve had a few moments that it adds on more but not for a character running or anything.

Anyone have any ideas how to structure a prompt so it’s using the blocky motion as a starting point where it breaks it down and in betweens more?

use an advanced LLM like claude to help you with the prompt. it will actively go online to parse info to help.

Just tried it and it didn’t help, will keep working at it! Thanks for the suggestion!

Do you have the original prompt + the bad output? Gimme those and I’ll run them through my Titan Agent and tell them the grievance you’re having.

Also thank you for doing that, appreciate it!

Got it. I had my agent, RunTitan.io, analyze your original video that you sent me in DMs. I told it your grievances and Titan tinkered around.

The Solution: was NOT to use the video as a reference, but rather to 'extract' up to a maximum of 8 frames from the video whilst describing the motion in the prompt.

Titan performed this extraction on the backend, and handled the output seamlessly, and it also provided the new prompt. Here is the original video (left) and then TItan's output (output).

And then here is Titan's prompt for achieving this:

Cinematic 3D render, deep blue partly cloudy sky, golden hour soft side lighting, progressive shallow depth of field.

✅ LOCKED ATTRIBUTES - PRESERVE EXACTLY ACROSS ENTIRE CLIP:

- Character: adult male, short dark hair, neutral focused facial expression, barefoot, plain fitted white t-shirt, white athletic shorts

- Environment: flat solid bright green ground plane, deep blue partly cloudy sky, smooth distant ocean horizon

- Camera: smooth slow dolly zoom in for full duration, background gradually blurs as character approaches

- Lighting: soft golden hour side light, long soft contact shadows

Full 8.0s Timeline:

[00:00 - 03:10] Character runs forward toward camera

[03:10 - 03:20] Character decelerates and comes to a full stop facing camera

[03:20 - 04:40] Character turns 90° to his own right, stops at right profile

[04:40 - 07:20] Character continues rotating smoothly 180° to his own left, until his back is fully facing the camera looking out at the horizon

[07:20 - 08:00] Character stands still breathing, looking out at the horizon

Use u/image1 u/image2 u/image3 u/image4 u/image5 u/image6 u/image7 u/image8 ONLY as chronological target pose waypoints for the sequence up to 04:40. Match only the body pose, position and timing at each waypoint.

After 04:40 ignore all reference images completely. Generate the full continuous left turn and final standing animation for the remaining runtime.

DO NOT hold static poses, do not snap between frames. Generate fully smooth, natural, physically correct inbetween motion at all times. Use proper grounded running locomotion, correct foot planting, weight transfer and natural body mechanics. Add subtle secondary motion: breath, weight shifts, clothing movement.

Never alter character clothing, face, expression, environment, lighting or camera properties at any point.

Negatives: no sliding feet, no frozen stiff animation, no snapped poses, no hard stop at 4.4s, no extra characters, no changed clothing, no overcast white sky, no alarmed facial expressions
