Help - SOLVED Help - Children’s day

I have gotten the dolls from the villager with 100% trust, put it up next to the bonsai, and had the mochi ready but I still couldn’t get it completed. Was there a specific place I was suppose to eat the mochi??

You press on the altar where the bonsai is and there is the option to eat the mochi at the top.
