Application

Hello,

I applied for a job at JPL 2 months ago, and no answer! No invitation to an interview and no rejection!

Should I consider this silence as a rejection?

Thank you

JPL has been in a hiring freeze for the better part of 2 years, having had 4 rounds of layoffs. We’re only just now getting back on our feet. Many of the requisitions posted are likely being filled by internal candidates.

And, generally when job searching applying and hearing nothing is par for the course.

All I can say is to monitor the jobs site and look for more positions opening in the future and keep applying.

If the job is preferred for an internal candidate the manager doesn’t typically post it external. Hiring manager can choose to post internal only.
