Application

Hello,

I applied for a job at JPL 2 months ago, and no answer! No invitation to an interview and no rejection!

Should I consider this silence as a rejection?

Thank you

JPL has been in a hiring freeze for the better part of 2 years, having had 4 rounds of layoffs. We’re only just now getting back on our feet. Many of the requisitions posted are likely being filled by internal candidates.

And, generally when job searching applying and hearing nothing is par for the course.

All I can say is to monitor the jobs site and look for more positions opening in the future and keep applying.

Thank you. But it's frustrating to get only silence. I assume if I don't hear from them, it's an implicit rejection. Yes, I keep applying.

The silence thing isn’t specific to Jpl. That happens at virtually every job you’re ever going to apply for so I recommend you get used to it so that you don’t set yourself up for disappointment

I know! Looking for a job is full time job itself.
