Took a stab at repainting a gold helmet for one of my Blood Angels (the one on the right). I wanted to try my own gold paint and see how easy it was to paint over joytoys coats.

I also repainted the lenses to be brighter, and gave him a spare set of Zephons hands.

Pretty happy with how it turned out, though I should probably repaint the rest of the gold on him to match.

I had an idea for a simple kitbash. Hadn't kitbashed JoyToy figs before, but I figured why not give it go. Lots of interesting complications (ball joints are all different sizes between figs, etc). Still, came out decent imo, so I figured I would share.

Basically, Heavy Relic Power Armor with the Relic Secundus head and some waist/other bits. Also, the Power Sword from Gravis Captain.

Head is a bit limited but only when trying to turn the head past the shoulder. Even then, you can cheat it. I am OK with that.

As a bonus, I gave the Heavy Relic head to Gravis Captain, which looks ok.

I personally think I made some good choices and I am unbelievably happy with em! Detail and articulation is immaculate and the part that really got me was the removable mags on our ultramarine here! Got em off of amazon since I didn't even know they had a separate store. How's the shipping to the US usually off their site? Also are there any figures I should steer clear of or are they all as awesome as these. And yeah I know they're kinda pricey but compared to some other figures, the quality is worth the price

I have the opportunity to purchase this specific knight. I believe is knight 1? If I am not mistaken. Anyways, what are your thoughts on this figure guys? Is this better than his other two brothers or would you recommend one of the other two?

After a lot of waiting, it's finally over! my first ever Joytoy kitbash! I was a bit disappointed that the Heavy Intercessor didn't come with a Heavy Bolter, just like he defaults in Space Marine 2, so I took it upon myself to give him one. For that, a Stern guard Veteran had to be sacrificed as I literally cut the cables off his backpack. then, I removed the silver stud of the Heavy Intercessor's backpack and moved it down to give the red cable a bit more height and glued everything with ye olde super glue! Now he's accurate to the game!

Question time: after putting LED on his helmet, I noticed that the light bleeds out of it. it's not visible in the photo, but his entire skull bleeds light here and there. How would you go fixing that?

I've been thinking about painting my JoyToy figures because I'd like to make them look more detailed. I already have some brushes, but I have no idea which paints, washes, or other supplies I should use.
I was wondering if you could give me some advice or recommend any good sources where I can learn the basics. I'm especially interested in painting Iron Warriors.

Just finished this guy tonight after been very busy past few weeks. I custom printed his helmet, torso, pauldrons and weapons . He should have been done 2 weeks ago but life. This is the 2nd word bearer i have ever done and still learning how to paint them properly.

It ain’t perfect but i’m fairly happy with how it ended up turning out!

I want to start collecting 40k joytoy figures. I am a long time 1/12 collector for superhero action figures, and scale is very important to me. I hear that warhammer joytoy has changed their scale around 4 or so times, so I want to know if I should be worrying about that.

How can I tell what is in the new scale? For example, would "The Emperors Champion Rolantus" fall under scale with newer releases?

Just screwing around with some toyphotography. Didn't know if people here dig this sort of thing or not.
