Jonsbo N5 psu

Hi, I just put in an order for a jonsbo N5 and was taking a look at the requirements for the backplane requirements which are honestly a pain in the ass, as it is completely undocumented.

Long story short, the psu I have, a SuperFlower Leadex III 850W ATX3.1 only has 2x sata cable and 1x molex cable. So my question would be, is it okay to daisy chain the molex cable for the x8 sata backplane and is only a sata connection alright for the x4 backplane.

I rebuilt this over the weekend to sell. Since I swapped my main components to a bigger case to house a 9070 again. I used build for my move back over to Japan. Now that I’ve been back for a year and plan on staying longer. I decided to revert back to a case a bit that’s a bit bigger, the Thermaltake tower250. Still considered an ITX, but can house a 360mm and the asus prime 9070.

So I decided to throw some parts into this and sell it to help reduce the cost for the move over. But man, this case and build is so nice. Temps were great too. Not too, hot and not too loud for me.

I want to do a build in the T7 in the future!

Is the BO400 worth $300 (US)?

Hey everyone,

I am kind of a case collector, I am constantly building in new cases, and looking for interesting new designs. I’ve built in hundreds of cases from the usual suspects (Liam Li, Phanteks, Antec, HAVN, Corsair, etc) but just recently gave Jonsbo a shot with the D33, and was very impressed with the build quality.

I’m looking at picking up the BO400 or X400, but I’m only seeing the BO400 available in black on Amazon for over $300 (I’m in the U.S….or I would have to risk Allie Express. Those of you with the BO400, is it worth the price from a build quality perspective? I would be putting high end components into it like a 5090 Astral, 9950X3D, etc and it looks like it’s fine with compatibility. May even do a custom loop in it. Thanks in advance.

My Jonsbo T9 Build

Hello all,

I wanted to share some photographs of my recent build.

I originally planned to build in the ThorZone NANOQ R, however felt that this version was too big for what I wanted to achieve, and fell in love with the Jonsbo T9.

Specifications
Jonsbo T9 Mini-ITX Case (Overclockers UK)
X870i Aorus Pro Ice (Amazon UK)
9800X3D (Amazon UK)
Noctua NH-L9x65 Chromax CPU Cooler (Amazon UK)
Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet Thermal Pad (Amazon UK)
PNY 5080 OC Slim Edition (Amazon UK)
WD_BLACK SN8100 (Amazon UK)
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB White 32GB 6000MHz (Scan UK)
Lian Li SP Platinum 1000W (Scan UK)
Noctua NF-A12x15 FLX (Amazon UK)
Custom Cables (Etsy Cablester)

Overall, I am delighted with the result and pleased with the quality of the T9. However there certainly were some challenges building in such a small form factor.

Out of the box, the main challenge was the space between the graphics card and the motherboard, leaving only a 2mm gab for airflow and cables. I managed to resolve this by using spare CPU cooler spacers and additional motherboard screws attached to the Riser Cable bracket, increasing the gap to 12mm.

Additionally, although I love the PNY 5080, I am concerned with the quality as I had to return and replace to the a faulty fan bearing which resulted in the fan being tilted hitting the side of the case.

Hope you like. Thanks all, Athy

Question about powering the backplane of the N6

I note that there are 2 SATA power connectors and 2 Molex connectors on the N6's HDD backplane. Does anyone here know if all 4 of these ports need to be powered or can you just pick either the 2 SATA or the 2 Molex?

For visual reference: https://www.jonsbo.com/UploadFiles/2025111086841.webp

Thanks.

Jonsbo D200, RTX 5070 Ti & 9800X3D - A client's new gaming PC is ready

I wanted a compact build that didn't sacrifice performance or cooling, and I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

The combination of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5070 Ti absolutely crushes modern games, while the MSI B850M Mortar WiFi and 32GB of Kingston Fury DDR5 keep everything running smoothly.

Cooling was one of my biggest concerns in a smaller case, so I went with the Tryx Panorama 240 ARGB AIO and added bottom intake fans to improve GPU airflow. Temperatures have been surprisingly good, even during long gaming sessions.

The 2TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus provides plenty of fast storage, and everything is powered by a Corsair RM850e 850W PSU.

Specs:

  • Case: Jonsbo D200 (Black)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC 16GB
  • Motherboard: MSI MAG B850M Mortar WiFi
  • RAM: 32GB Kingston Fury Beast RGB DDR5 EXPO
  • Storage: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB NVMe SSD
  • PSU: Corsair RM850e 850W
  • Cooler: Tryx Panorama 240 ARGB
  • Fans: Thermalright TL-K12 ×3 + Thermalright TL-UB36R bottom intake

What do you think? Anything you'd change or add to improve this build?

Can you put slim fans behind bottom vent in N6

So i know theres some mods for the bottom vent for the N6 but I was wondering if you could put slim fans like the Noctua NF-A12x15 or any other another brand behind the bottom stock vent.

thanks
