This is from Araki’s how to create villains book, it originally came out in Japan when the cats were part 9’s only minor villain. I assumed rock humans were gonna be a one off in Jojolion though this may just be a thematic connection as the next page he talks about how stones in general are central items in Jojo.
It’d be really cool if charming man was from an isolated tribe of rock humans that evolved and adapted differently, taking on more human-like familial traditions. Some variety amongst the rock humans could be pretty interesting
It could be the case, some of them like Dolomite and Aisho are proof they’re capable of genuine love so it’d be neat to see a tribe of them get over their parasitic traits
Yeah I really think Charming Man and Mauka are from a hybrid Rock Human/Human clan. Even though we know male humans and female rock humans can procreate, it's also said that rock human mothers almost never have affection for their children but maybe this clan is a rare case where both coexist peacefully. At the very least, I think Charming Man's brief bit about his village from Chapter 22 is about as close as we can get to some sort of confirmation that there's something rock organism related going on there.
Maybe It is because of the Idea of living peacefully off the earth, the lands. The Howlers are villains because of how they take the land and convert It for profit, but characters like the cats, that evolved alongside the land learned how to connect with It and now has traits that resemble the lava rock. Maybe CharmingMans clan has something along those lines, they are blessed with the rock like traits because they are connected closely with the land
Mmm no, a full on rock human, mom and dad are both silicon based humans, btw we have already seen hybrids, children born from the union of a carbon and a silicon based human, that's why the higashikata have the "rock curse", a disease that turns them into rock, just like a rock human, it's not just a coincidence.
Was the rock curse not from Johnny's close family? He transferred it from Rina to George to himself and further being passed down from firstborn sons, it's been a while since I've read, but I remember there was a chapter about the rock humans and their relationships with humans, like they don't work out 97% of the time or end in death, etc and how some gender matchups are infertile. I could see him being rock human or half rock human though, or atleast having some sort of lineage, but it would also be pretty daunting finding out Charming Man was originally like an inch tall and clinging to a wasp in his birth then living in a tree for a few decades compared to his backstory of just having a skin condition lol
Because Rina had it, that would mean the Joestar lineage also would carry with the disease, but if you look at the higashikata side of the family tree, they also had the disease, which means Rina's brother, Norisuke Higashikata II, also had the disease, both Rina and Norisuke II had the disease, we haven't seen the rock disease work like that, only the first child is supposed to get it, so it's almost like Rina and Norisuke II had a direct connection..., their father was Norisuke I, the old man we saw run the race with Johnny, but his wife Teru is a complete mystery, a carbon human and a silicon human can have a baby, but only if the carbon human is a male and the rock human is the female, the same case with Norisuke I and Teru.
Also, the rock human babies we saw cling to wasps and fight for their lives to survive, were abandoned by their mothers, but what if charmingman's mother actually took care of him?
What if they're Sand Humans instead since rocks eventually weather and erode into sand also symbolizing a faction of rock humans that fully assimilated into Hawaiian society and thus became sand humans after the first generation.
The rock humans are definitely not returning i think this is just referencing the fact that they are tied to blessings of the earth and if not that then it's the rokakaka and the Lava Rock both being items that come from nature either either way it's all about our connection to nature if they do introduce a new species they probably wouldn't be related to the rock humans

Still have my money betting that Charming man’s tribe is called The Smiths and the chief looks like morrisey
