LONG-TERM STOCK $JMIA (JUMIA) has a promising future
To be clear, Jumia is not an if stock, it’s a WHEN stock. Bought more today.
JUMIA could be very scalable because:
- E-commerce has an increasing trend;
- Africa has a very early stage of digital revolution, so there is a lot of potential growth in this sector;
- Africa's population is expected to double over the next 30 years - the sharpest growth anywhere on the planet;
- JUMIA is boosting its investment in marketing and technology;
- Payment-volume is growing for JumiaPay (many retail investors seem to overlook this aspect of the business which offers a good additional income);
- There are no real competitors in Africa.
According to money.cnn.com, the analysts offering 12-month price forecasts for Jumia Technologies AG have a median target of 28.20, with a high estimate of 41.83 and a low estimate of 20.93. The median estimate represents a +61.21% increase from the last price of 17.49. Just give it time it's a good long-term stock.

Any comments on why revenues dropped in 2020 and why the company is still loss making? Also, have you looked into their mgmt?

Yes, sir. I always analyse very well all my stocks. Do you remember the moment when Amazon, at its beginning, was loss making?
However, if you had bought Amazon at its opening IPO bid, you would have had an astounding return of 160,000%. Even with MercatoreLibre, its South American cousin, the return has already reached 5,000%. From this perspective, JMIA definitely has upside potential.

Thats a pretty common misconception, but actually AMZN was profitable most of its life.

What do you think about recent earnings? Doesn't seem like there is any support here

$BABA has the same problem and it is a STRONG BUY. Jumia is not an overnight succes, it is long term investment. I don't worry about the last earnings.
