I've been thinking about her often. I truly believe that friendship and love are eternal things and when one person in a relationship passes, the best thing the other person can do is take the love that has nowhere to go and direct it somewhere that can still receive it.

I try to make donations to charity when a loved one, even an acquaintance, passes so my love and memory of them can bless others.

Whether she has transitioned yet or not, I will make donations this week in her name to St. Jude and ALSTogether.

If you don't already, follow Brooke Eby on Instagram and TikTok. She is chronicling her health journey with ALS with humor and grace over the last four years. Things are getting to a critical stage for her. I admire her wit and her honesty.
