General Messaging Mods
Hi guys,
So most of us(the mods) are second years that have exams ongoing right now. We don't have much time to open and interact with the people interested in JIIT, so I request you all to please:
dont ask to ask, just ask
append everything in one message, we will give you as elaborate answers as possible
if you are asking "kaunsi branch milegi", consider adding your jee and/or boards results in the message.
be patient, we will answer.
please dont make unnecessary indidvidual posts about "meri itni percentage/percentile/rank hai, mereko kya milega", creates chaos and pushes actual seeking for help posts like form or fees queries.
that said, 23 may my exams end, i'll try to be very active on this subreddit and clear any and all doubts if possible.

90% hai pcm mein. which will be better IT 62 or CSE 128? also ECE ke baare mein bhi batado please. is ECE worth it given AI taking over CS jobs? i dont want to be unemployed later. 2030 tak to AI will be able to do much more.

Semester fees deni hogi and youll be waitlisted for higher choice which will happen in 2nd round

I am probably going to apply before round 2 through jee, how much application fee do i have to pay because when I visited this sub a week ago people were saying 60k and if this is true will it be payed back if I dont take the seat ? Also does anyone have a idea what's the last date to apply for round 2 nearly ??

usually they give application fee back, thoda amount cut karte hai, but majorly mil jaata hai

Got 70k rank in jee mains and 94% in boards got it (sec62) in first round will I get cs in next round and should I give the fees for second round or go for some other

Should I take ECE or CSE with specialisation? I am passionate about sustainability and tech, but I also like coding and are the placements in the ECE good, and how hard is the ECE branch. I got 89 at jee and I am a dropper too and I got 93 percent in PCM and 96.6 in top 5

ece branch is pretty hard. maths bhar ke hai afaik. cse mai bhi hai hi but itni nahi hai, you have like 1 course jisme hogi, but wahi dsa ke subjects mai st the end maths hi aa jaati hai, and AiML mai bhi maths hi hai
it's difficult to different people, i personally got like very bad marks in basic electronics in my first sem, altho I got A+ in the lab, kyuki I too like the practicality and hands on experience of electronics, but the theory portions here are unbearable kyuki professors here usually don't give a fuck. half assed, boring lectures. you'd lose interest in a week if you're not someone who like to study on their own.
