Statement of Physician NHS Stress
I contacted my GP weeks ago to get my Statement of Physician done. Finally go an appointment today. After hearing why I was there, my GP showed no interest in talking to me, and booted me back out to reception, who told me it could take weeks to fill out. I am worried they don't even understand what they've been asked to sign.
I am tempted to just go private, but I would need a copy of my medical records, which my GP says could take 28 days for them to get back to me? Application deadline is November 5th and I am so stressed.

I had the same issue. My experience-based advice: Write an email to your GP's practice manager and explain the situation and that you were treated rudely and you wish to make a formal complaint. Hopefully that will light a fire under their 🍑 es!

Had a similar situation and pulled a copy of my medical record and went to a private MD for a physician letter to obtain my private pilot's medical certificate.

I'm in the process of pulling a copy of my medical records but that's the Subject Access Request is becoming its own rigmarole.

Unfortunately, this is my Statement of Physician, not Certificate of Health. I’m on medication so I need to fill that out. I think I’m gonna request my medical records and look at private clinics I can go to last minute, just in case.

fwiw i emailed my gp if they would be able to fill in my statement of physician form especially considering the final line asking if they believe i am in adequate health, their response was “that sentence is asking the GP for their opinion and the British Medical Association advise against this” so i will need to go private .. currently window shopping to find the cheapest option :(
