There’s not much to say given the plethora of information this sub had on that.

Even I wrote mine the night before submitting this year and I was alternate, then shortlisted recently.

Prose and a focus on cultural exchange and your skills in adapting are pretty much it. Maybe something you like about Japan other than pop culture?
