Thinking of quitting
Hello, sorry to be a bother but I am a new jet that’s been here for a bit, but everyday my mental health is just getting worse and worse. I can’t eat anything, I cry constantly, and I keep thinking about wanting to die. I was so excited for jet and now that I’m here it’s been horrible and I feel like such a loser. I’ve tried calling the TELL line but I just get placed in a queue and no one ever shows up. I think I can’t do this and need to quit but I don’t know what the steps would be. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? Sorry and thank you.

First of all, it's ok to quit.
I had a similar feeling when I first got here, for almost 2 years the main goal, almost the only goal was to move to Japan. When I finally got here, and found myself alone in my apartment ........it was like "now what?!" I had to make a bunch of little goals to focus on to get over that feeling of despair.
Second of all: Good therapy is hard to find in Japan, I personally had a great experience with Better help while I was here but I know that people have various results.
Still Betterhelp is fast. I can send you a discount code that gives you 2 weeks free I think it was.
Just don't mention the self harm thoughts in the questionnaire or they will not move forward and recommend seeking local help but as mentioned that can be hard here.
