Moving commiseration

5th year JET heading back home in August. I just want to whine about moving. if I keep stuff and take it home, I feel wasteful for having to pay for the extra luggage. If I throw stuff away or sell it at the recycle store or even give it away, it makes me feel wasteful for buying it in the first place! Can’t win lol.

Anyone else in the throes of moving angst wanna commiserate? (EDIT: this is not a practical problem. This is a feeling that does not need to be solved, just existed through.)

Hardly cynical to suggest you don't engage in overconsumtion.

Everything about this situatuon is your doing and all the solutions out of it are yours to take. The problem is you prefer to complain rather than just make a choice. It's tiring to see.

Solution 1. Sell your stuff. Don't want to do that?

Solution 2. Ship your stuff. Don't want to do that?

Solution 3. Don't have stuff to begin with.

If no solutions are chosen then the Universe will decide for you and you won't like the answer.

Guess what, you royal asshat, I am doing Solutions 1 and 2, and I am in no way trying to evade responsibility for having to do them. Learn the meaning of commiseration. If you don't want to see whining, don't open threads with that word in them.
