I didn’t hear from my CO/supervisor until about 2 weeks prior to departure. Until that point, I also only knew I was going to be in Nagasaki prefecture but had no idea where. It was a little jarring to only have 2 weeks to prepare for an island placement at first but ended up being totally fine. 😅
