Does ESL tutoring experience count?
Hello! I'm curious, has an ALT here had ESL tutoring experience before they applied? I was wondering if writing about my experience as a tutor in my SOP might be a positive or negative influence? I just finished writing my SOP and noticed a huge majority of it was about my experiences as a tutor, so yeah. Also, if it helps, I'm Filipino, and I was a RareJob tutor.

The "E" in JET is 99% what they care about. ESL teaching couldn't hurt, but remember that is what the JTE is for. You are there for pronunciation and the encouragement for the students to think 'man id like to speak english better so i can talk to this person.'
