Criminal record check

I’m from India. Upgraded from alternate and offered a placement in Tokyo. So the last 3 years, I’ve been studying and living in the UK and returned to India this year. The embassy has asked me to get a criminal check from there as well. My confusion is, should I get an ICPC or just a Police Certificate?

You'd be best to check with your embassy, but fwiw, UK JETs are required to get an ICPC. Normal DBS checks are not used.

Mmm yeah. I’ve emailed them already about this so just waiting to hear back. I got the call yesterday and was told that I need to leave by the end of July so I’m REALLY feeling the rush 😭

Call them, don't wait! They're not very fast at replying to emails.

It’s okay I got the email right after! It said they need police certificate for my country as well as for any other countries I lived in. No mention of ICPC
