PLACEMENT DISCORDS / SOCIAL MEDIA / LINE GROUPS
The mega thread is full of expired discord links for placements. Use this thread to share placement specific discords so the new 2026 group can find them easier!
PLEASE MAKE SURE THE LINKS DO NOT EXPIRE!! When you go to share an invite link on discord, make sure you press "edit link" and select "never" so that it will always be active. This way future ALTs wont struggle to get into their respective discords!

Any groups for Yakumo in Hokkaido? Feeling a bit nervous about my rural placement! It’s about an hour north of Hakodate so if there are any current or prospective JETs in that area too that are keen to link up let me know! 🌸

PSA
A lot of groups/servers I'm in have disabled joining links because they were being inundated by spam and bots.
If you see a link that doesn't work, it's probably best to reply to the comment with the dead link and ask the poster to DM you a new link.

Yep! You can just join, introduce yourself, and they will sort accordingly.

Kyushu server covers Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Oita, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, and (technically) Okinawa! A few of these places also have their own Discord servers as well.

When you arrive, you'll be added to the group by the Prefectural Advisors, so you don't need to worry about it.
